Gaia's Energy Adventure is a children's book introducing young readers to offshore renewable energy. The story follows Gaia, a young girl worried about climate change. When her toy bear Ursa magically comes to life, he takes her on an exciting journey to explore how clean energy can be harnessed from the wind, waves, and tides, offering hope for a brighter future.

Designed for 4-6 year old's, the book simplifies the complex topics of wind, wave, and tidal energy, aiming to inspire children about the amazing technologies that harness the power of the sea. It has been produced by the Supergen ORE Hub, a research leadership project focused on accelerating the contribution of offshore renewables to a clean energy mix and reaching Net Zero.

Gaia's Energy Adventure was created in response to an equality, diversity, and inclusion study, highlighting the importance of challenging gender stereotypes early in life. By featuring Gaia as the main character, the book aims to engage young children - especially girls and those from underrepresented groups - with the exciting potential of clean energy from the sea and to encourage them to see themselves working in an engineering role.

Authored by Kate Marvelyan, illustrated by Lucy Pulleyblank, the book is available in both English and Welsh version.
