Supergen ORE Hub Publishes 2026 Wave Energy Roadmap Refresh
The Supergen Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Hub has released the latest edition of its Wave Energy Roadmap Refresh 2026, providing an updated overview of research, innovation, and priorities in the development of the UK wave energy sector.
This report outlines progress and reassesses priorities since the publication of the last Wave Energy Report in 2020. Drawing on consultation with industry, academia, and key stakeholders, it emphasises the role of collaborative research in advancing the sector and supporting the UK’s clean energy transition.
The report identifies strategic priorities to support the sector’s development and reviews the UK’s wave energy potential, current projects, and the policy landscape, with recommendations aimed at accelerating deployment and fostering innovation across wave energy technologies.
