Collaboration
After a successful and busy Annual Assembly, it is encouraging to see a growing, collaborative community committed to working together. We now turn our focus to future activities with renewed energy and resolve, working to drive innovation in offshore renewable energy.
Across the Assembly sessions, a clear theme was connectivity and a shared interest in collaborating. We're delighted to reflect on the continued success of the Supergen ORE Hub as a platform that brings key stakeholders together, connecting diverse perspectives to address challenges collectively and creating the pathways for targeted research aligned with sector needs.
Innovative Research
We were pleased to spotlight just a few examples of the fascinating research shaping the sector - from zone-based approaches to turbine design standards, to work reducing dispatch costs, as well as a cross-disciplinary study challenging overly conservative design assumptions, with the aim of triggering a step change in more cost effective design.
By showcasing a small selection of a broad range of research underway, it was clear this pipeline of disruptive, innovative research reflects a sector with growing momentum. Furthermore, the research supports not just innovative, cost effective design solutions, but the foundation for greater confidence across policy, insurance and supply chains.
What's next for Strategic Research
We look forward to continuing our work in the year ahead, spotlighting research, driving strategic research and connecting key stakeholders. Thank you to all our speakers, our host - the University of Warwick - and to our Early Career Committee for organising the brilliant Early Career Forum activities.
