The Early Career Network

Our Early Career Network supports professionals at the start of their careers in offshore renewable energy by promoting collaboration and knowledge exchange across the sector. By strengthening connections across the community and between industry and academia, we aim to drive the development of this rapidly evolving sector and accelerate progress towards Net Zero.

Early Career Committee – Vacancies

The Early Career Committee is expanding, and we’re looking for enthusiastic members to help shape the network's future activities.

The Early Career Committee plays a vital role in shaping the direction of our Early Career Network. Over the past two years, the Committee has helped create a welcoming environment and engaging activities that support early career development.

Committee:

  • Co-Leads (2)
  • Deputy - applications being received
  • Communications Officer
  • Engagement Co-Ordinator – applications being received
  • Industry Representative – applications being received

We are now seeking new members to join this enthusiastic team. These voluntary roles offer a valuable opportunity to shape the Early Career Network, build connections, and support the appointee’s professional development.

Current vacancies

Engagement Coordinator

The appointee for this role will help plan and deliver Early Career events and activities for the Early Career Network. Working alongside the Supergen ORE Hub team and the wider Early Career Committee, the individual will support the coordination of logistics. Additionally, the appointee will seek outreach opportunities for the Early Career Network to help increase visibility, suggesting ideas to the Supergen ORE Hub team and the Early Career Committee. This could be within research, industry, policy or public engagement. As a committee member, you’ll play an active role in fostering collaboration by highlighting opportunities within the community.

Industry Representative

This newly established role will focus on the representation of the interests of early career professionals working in industry/commercial settings in the Network’s activities. The appointee for this role will work within a relevant industrial/commercial setting and have a strong network and understanding of current trends in the offshore renewable energy sector.  Working alongside the Supergen ORE Hub team and the wider Early Career Committee, the appointee will bring their industry insight to help strengthen connections between academia and industry and highlight opportunities for collaboration.

Deputy

A new role of Deputy is being established within the Committee to support the Co-Leads to represent the network. The appointee will be involved in all aspects of the Committee, from event logistics and promotion to representing the Committee at meetings, as well as supporting the Co-Leads with the overall direction and creative thinking on how to develop the activities within the Network. The Deputy will also act as a representative for the wider Network, voicing members’ perspectives and contributing ideas to help shape future activities. Working alongside the Supergen ORE Hub team and the wider Early Career Committee, this role offers valuable leadership experience and the opportunity to shape the Early Career Network. It is expected that the Deputy will be considered for the vacant role of Lead/Co-Lead in mid-2026.
