Minds were fascinated and electricity generated in Einstein’s Garden at the Green Man Festival in August thanks to the Supergen Offshore Renewable Energy Hub.

Einstein’s Garden is the first UK festival science engagement area and has some of the world's top research organisations getting the public doing hands-on experiments, leading on talks and demonstrating the wonderful world of science.

The Supergen ORE team spoke to over 1,000 Engineering and Offshore Renewable Energy enthusiasts who were all keen to see the University of Plymouth’s portable wave tank showing working models of wave energy converters. People visiting the stand also had the chance to make and test their own Wells Turbine, make a paper windmill and take part in an energy quiz.

A big thank you to everyone who visited the stand (including those who braved the yellow weather warning on Friday!) If you have any pictures you want to share or feedback about our stand, please contact us at supergenorehub@plymouth.ac.uk.
